Bayern Munich winger THOMAS MUELLER, who netted the Bavarians’ only goal in the heartbreaking UEFA Champions League Final loss at home to visiting English side FC Chelsea of London last season, is off to a fantastic start in the domestic top flight this term and has already netted six goals in his first seven Bundesliga matches of this 2012/13 campaign.
So, a good friend of mine (a stand-up Bayern Munich supporter from Ghana) and I were on Facebook the other day trying to sort out exactly how many assists the in-form Germany national team winger, THOMAS MUELLER, has already collected for the unblemished Bavarians in the Bundesliga this season.
Just in case anybody is curious, this blog has traditionally looked to a very fine German website called “FUSSBALLDATENBANK” for very tough-to-top assistance in terms of keeping track of all things relevant with statistical information, both past and present, on German football. This blog discontinued the journalistic formality of verifying information from Fussballdatenbank what seems like a thousand years ago because, to be quite frank, it became quickly apparent that such exercises are, indeed, a waste of valuable time. To sum it up, the place – (http://www.fussballdaten.de) – kicks ass and that’s that.
But back to Thomas Mueller and the number of assists the 23-year-old Bayern Munich youth team product has accumulated thus far this term. It had been jointly decided that a proper and thorough audit must be done in the name of Truth and, therefore, the match reports posted here at this blog AND, without question more importantly, the individual match highlight videos (which can easily be found on You Tube) have been reviewed to see what’s actually what. The following information from that audit is presented now as a result :
THOMAS MUELLER – BAYERN MUNICH
