Bundesliga Goalkeeper Chart

================================================================
The work between the sticks of 19-year-old Germany youth international MARC ANDRE TER STEGEN, who began his career in the top flight by starting the final six games of last season for die Fohlen, is a major reason why BORUSSIA MOENCHENGLADBACH, despite scoring just nine goals in their first eight league matches this term, are currently occupying a surprising third place in the Bundesliga standings.

A goalkeeper certainly needs to be able to do more than just make saves in order to be competent, to speak nothing of world class. Taking high balls out of the air and knowing when to come off the line in order to smother dangerous balls are just two examples of important actions required of a goalkeeper which are not, in fact, reward with a ‘save’ on the statistics chart. Still, the old ‘save-percentage’ does provide some information with respect to any given goalkeeper’s current form.
