Israel international striker ROBERTO COLAUTTI delivered the goods at the end to make the managerial debut of former Israel international midfielder MOTTI IVANIR a successful one as FC MACCABI TEL AVIV defeated BEITAR JERUSALEM 1-0 and moved into third place in Ligat ha’Al.

Colautti, who led the Israeli top flight with 19 goals in 30 games for the 2004-05 campaign, scored 39 goals in 90 league games on behalf of FC Maccabi Haifa before transferring to Borussia Moenchengladbach of the German second division in the summer of 2007; the 28-year-old Argentina-born striker scored six goals in 47 Bundesliga matches the past two seasons for die Fohlen before joining FC Maccabi Tel Aviv this summer on a free transfer.

Colautti’s match-winner today for The Yellows, which arrived in the 79th minute of the match against Beitar Jerusalem, was just his third in Ligat ha’Al this term.
