FC St. Pauli – Going Down Like Che Guevara?

================================================
Some people are deeply, deeply offended by all the imagery of CHE GUEVARA. Some people who know their history know Guevara was a noted Marxist Revolutionary who was the Chief Executioner for Cuba’s communist dictator FIDEL CASTRO and was responsible for the murder of thousands. Some people do not view Che as anything close to a martyr or hero, as do the confused and misguided supporters of FC St. Pauli of Hamburg. (Morris Mac Matzen/Reuters)

CHE GUEVARA was appointed Cuba’s Minister of Economics in 1960 — within months the country’s peso was practically worthless.

CHE GUEVARA was appointed Cuba’s Minister of Industry in 1961 — within a year, a previously prosperous nation was rationing food, closing factories and losing hundreds of thousands of its productive citizens, who were happily to flee with only the clothes on their back.

In his book, CHE GUEVARA : A BIOGRAPHY, author DANIEL JAMES writes that Che, himself, admitted to ordering “several thousand” executions during the first year of the Castro regime; FELIX RODRIGUEZ, the Cuban-American C.I.A. operative who helped track Guevara down in Bolivia and was the last person to question him, also says that Che confessed to “a couple thousand” executions.

Guevara shrugged off the savagery, claiming all the victims were “Imperialist spies and C.I.A. agents.”
