First-year Portuguese manager JOSE MOURINHO equated the impending return from injury of Brazil World Cup attacking midfielder KAKA to La Liga side Real Madrid with that of a high-priced transfer brought in over the winter months in order to strenghten the team.
Of course, it was really not all that long ago — the summer of 2009, to be specific — that the Spanish capital city club forked out a reported 64.0 million Euros to sign the highly-skilled Brazilian from Italian Serie A side AC Milan.
Some reports had speculated that Kaka would be in the starting XI for Real Madrid today when Los Merengues traveled to the capital city suburbs to meet CF Getafe at the Estadio Coliseum Alfonso Perez; this was not the case, however, Kaka is on the bench and available as a substitute for Mourinho’s second place side.
Sixty-five minutes into the match, the Brazil World Cup midfielder has yet to make his 2010-11 season debut though Los Blancos do lead 3-1 on a pair of goals from Portugal World Cup striker CRISTIANO RONALDO and Germany World Cup midfielder MESUT OEZIL.
Match report, as always in the case of Real Madrid, to follow.
