Scotland international striker KENNY MILLER finally scored his first career goal in the UEFA Champions League for GLASGOW RANGERS and condemned KD BURSASPOR to no European football this spring with a 1-1 draw in Turkey.

Meanwhile, a tying-goal less than three minutes from time by OLYMPIQUE LYON’s 19-year-old substitute striker ALEXANDRE LACAZETTE bounced a brave FC Hapoel Tel Aviv of Israel from the UEFA Europa League knockout round of 32 after German club SCHALKE 04 GELSENKIRCHEN had done its part with a 2-1 win against BENFICA LISBON away in Portugal.

Already-elminated German side WERDER BREMEN salvaged a measure of pride and prevented defending Italian UEFA Champions League champion INTER MILAN from claiming top spot in Group A with a decisive 3-0 victory at home over the charges of visiting Spanish manager RAFAEL BENITEZ.
