The avalanche of goals in La Liga continued unabated for Portuguese manager JOSE MOURINHO’s men as REAL MADRID overwhelmed visiting RACING SANTANDER 6-1 to stay top of the Spanish Primera Division.

Portgual World Cup star striker CRISTIANO RONALDO was easily the man of the match with no fewer than four goals for Los Blancos; the world’s most expensive player purchased at the cost of 80.0 million English pounds from Manchester United pushed his total this season to 10 goals in eight La Liga matches.

Argentina World Cup striker GONZALO HIGUAIN opened the floodgates for Real Madrid just ten minutes into the match after accepting a thru ball from fellow Argentina World Cup squad member, ANGEL DI MARIA, to score his fifth goal in La Liga this season and his fourth in the last four matches in all competitions for Los Merengues.

Ronaldo proceeded to fire home the next four in a row for Real Madrid, who have piled up 16 goals in their last three league games after opening the year with a scant six goals from the first five La Liga matches.

Germany World Cup midfielder MESUT OEZIL, the off-season acquisition from Bundesliga side Werder Bremen who set up Ronaldo’s third strike, closed Real Madrid’s account against Racing Santander in the 63rd minute with his third goal in the last four matches for the capital city club.

Sweden international MARKUS ROSENBERG, the former Ajax Amsterdam striker on loan for the season to Racing Santander from German club Werder Bremen, ruined the clean sheet for Real Madrid’s World Cup champion goalkeeper IKER CASILLAS with his first-ever goal in La Liga seventy-three minutes into the match.
