FC PORTO turned in an impressive display with a 3-0 defeat of visiting Austrian side SK RAPID VIENNA in the opening round of Group L play for the UEFA Europa League.

Portugal World Cup reserve defender ROLANDO, Colombia international striker RADAMEL FALCAO and midfielder RUBEN MICAEL scored the goals while Brazilian goalkeeper and club captain HELTON turned in the clean sheet as FC Porto secured all three points.

Rapid Vienna, who sold Croatia international striker NIKICA JELAVIC to Scottish giant Glasgow Rangers at the end of August, continue to flounder up front; die Gruen-Weissen, who were outshot heavily (17-4) in Portugal, have now gone a third consecutive game in all competitions without a goal.
