Subject to a work permit from the Home Office, Serbia international striker MIRALEM SULEJMANI will join English Premier League club WEST HAM UNITED on loan for the 2010-11 season from Dutch Eredivisie side

Sulejmani set the Dutch record in the summer of 2008 with a move from SC Heerenveen to Ajax Amsterdam costing 16.5 million Euros.

The 21-year-old Serbian striker scored a respectable eight goals in 27 league appearances his first campaign for Ajax Amsterdam. Sulejmani, however, slumped to just two goals in 17 games a year ago after basically losing his place to Serbia World Cup striker MARKO PANTELIC, the 31-year-old who had arrived on a free transfer from German Bundesliga club SC Hertha Berlin. Pantelic produced 16 goals in 25 league games for Ajax last season.

While Pantelic would not sign a new contract and is now a free agent, Ajax Amsterdam has purchased 26-year-old Morocco international striker MOUNIR EL HAMDAOUI from AZ 67 Alkmaar for a reported 5.0 million Euros to begin the new season.

El Hamdaoui, who led the Dutch league with 23 goals two years ago and added another 20 tallies for AZ 67 Alkmaar last season, accounted for both Ajax Amsterdam goals in the 2-2 away draw with FC Groningen this past Sunday to start the new Eredivisie slate whereas Sulejmani did not even dress for the match.

Sulejmani did start both legs of the UEFA Champions League third round qualifying tie with Greek side PAOK Thessaloniki this summer for Ajax Amsterdam but failed to register a goal and was relieved in the second half of each match.

Serbia international striker MIRALEM SULEJMANI (7) of Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam attempts to fend off the challenge of Chile World Cup defender PABLO CONTRERAS (15) of Greek outfit PAOK Thessaloniki during UEFA Champions League play in Greece earlier this August.
