third round qualifying, first leg

After having gone 16 consecutive matches away from home without a victory until last week’s clutch second qualifying round, second leg win in Bosnia / Herzegovina, FK AUSTRIA VIENNA triumph again on the road in the first leg of the UEFA Europa League third round qualifying tie and look very likely to move into the next round.
SA RUCH CHORZOW actually struck first at home in just the fourth minute of the match through veteran midfielder MICHAL PULKOWSKI after a throw-in was permitted to bounce several times in the box.
Austria international striker ROLAND LINZ, however, leveled for FK Austria Vienna within three minutes after an incisive pass from the hero of the second round, midfielder ZLATKO JUNUZOVIC.
Slovakia international midfielder PETER HLINKA, a summer signing from SK Sturm Graz, popped up unmarked at the far post to head home a corner kick for what proved to be FK Austria Vienna’s game-winner a few minutes from the halftime break.
