1 – SK Rapid Vienna (AUT) —————- Hofmann pen 45+1′

Substitute striker VLADIMIR ZLATINOV, an off-season acquisition from FC Bansko, scored in the 85th minute to salvage something from the UEFA Europa League, third round qualifying, first leg match for home side PFC BEROE STARA ZAGORA at the Beroe Stadim in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.

Ten minutes prior to his equalizer, the 27-year-old Zlatinov had a good effort turned away by the right goalpost of Rapid Vienna goalkeeper RAIMUND HEDL following a delightful chip from another substitute attacker, TODOR KHRISTOV.

SK RAPID VIENNA’s German midfielder and captain STEFAN HOFMANN had put the visitors ahead from the spot during the time added on for the first half after PFC Beroe Stara Zagora midfielder NIKOLAI STANKOV was booked for a hand-ball in the penalty box; the goal was Hofmann’s 15th all-time in European competition for die Gruen-Weissen.

Rapid Vienna’s all-time leading scorer in Europe is the legendary Austrian international and two-time World Cup striker, HANS KRANKL, who totaled 18 goals for the Green-Whites.
