Four goals from both sides in the last five minutes provided a frantic finish to the UEFA Europa League second round qualifying, second leg game at the Gerhard Hanappi Stadion in Vienna.
FK SUDUVA MARIJAMPOLE substitute striker RICARDAS BENIUSIS sent the visiting side ahead for the evening and draw his team to within one goal on aggregate in the 85th minute, setting the stage for a tense conclusion.
SK RAPID VIENNA, however, responded by firing home three goals in the game’s final five minutes to secure a seemingly comfortable 6-2 triumph for the tie. Substitute striker RENE GARTLER scored twice and Croatia international attacker NIKICA JELAVIC added his second goal of the match to power the final push to victory for Vienna.
German midfielder and captain STEFAN HOFFMAN sat out the match for Rapid Vienna due to illness.
