UEFA Europa League
second round qualifying, first leg
7/15/2010

0 – FK Suduva Marijampole (LITH)
2 – SK Rapid Vienna (AUT) —— Hofmann 12′, Trimmel 81′

Veteran German captain STEFFEN HOFFMAN gave the visiting side the early lead in what turned out to be a tightly conteted match in which goal attempts, at least in terms of the official statistics, were rather scarce.

Austrian international striker CHRISTOPHER TRIMMEL tacked on a second goal late with the team’s only other official attempt as SK RAPID VIENNA of Austria shut out Lithuanian club FK SUDUVA MARIJAMPOLE 2-0 at the tiny Suduva Stadium in the Baltic city of Marijampole.
